One often forgets that cinema is also, is firstly, is mostly a matter of pleasure. Never mind that cinephilia ressembles the exquisite onanistic convulsions of ecstatic teenagers. Andrei Crețulescu comes to ring that bell. After Kowalski, a single steady take engulfed beneath the dialogues, he sets a new challenge for himself with Ramona: a genre film seventies style, without dialogues, led by a blond seductive harpy, throughout long takes, often sequence takes, which stays always very trendy. Ramona is a shot of gothic rock, the explosive Renaissance of Romanian cinema which sets our blood on fire.
